STUDENT PROJECTS
Academic collaborations that promote innovation and training
FusiA is actively involved with universities and student clubs to support research and innovation in metal additive manufacturing. These collaborations give students the opportunity to test and validate concepts using real materials and components, while contributing to high-quality scientific publications.
University partnerships
Concordia University
FusiA supplies fatigue specimens for research projects on AlSi7Mg and Ti-6Al-4V alloys produced by laser powder bed fusion.
These contributions have resulted in several scientific publications:
-
Tusher, Md Mehide Hasan, and Ayhan Ince. “Exploring VHCF response in L-PBF AlSi7Mg Alloy: Influence of T6 heat treatment on microstructural characteristics and defect distribution.” International Journal of Fatigue, 2024.
-
Tusher, Md Mehide Hasan, and Ayhan Ince. “A systematic review on high cycle and very high cycle fatigue behavior of laser powder bed fused (L-PBF) Al-Si alloys.” Engineering Failure Analysis, 2023.
-
Tusher MMH, Ince A. “Effect of stress relieved heat treatment on very high cycle fatigue performance of additive manufactured Ti-6Al-4V alloy”, FFEMS, 2023.
